The new TV movie version of Lorraine Hansberry's beautiful play A Raisin in the Sun was a success in the ratings last night, ultimately "winning" the night for ABC with an overall average of nearly 13 million viewers. This television adaptation of the play starred the same leads as the 2004 Broadway revival cast, including Sean Combs, Audra McDonald, and Phylicia Rashad. The latter two are Tony-winning Broadway regulars, but A Raisin in the Sun was hip-hop mogul Sean "P Diddy" Combs's Broadway debut.
I missed this one, did anyone watch? If so, how was it?

Koodos
I didn't watch it.
1I loved it. I watched it with my mom (she loved it too.) The performances were so heartfelt and Sean "diddy" Combs really surprised me, he's a wonderful actor. Usually tv movies disappoint me however this was far from a disappointment. The story was portrayed beautifully.
2A Raisin in the Sun was the very first Broadway show I went to in grade school. It was magical to see a live production. Unfortunately I didn't get to see the tv production, hopefully ABC will repeat the show.
